Is it possible to telnet into my account?

Telnet is useful for interacting directly with the server using standard UNIX commands. It is also known as "shell" access. It is most useful for installing software in your area, and developing and testing CGI scripts. However, Telnet was designed with little or no security in mind, and all communication between your computer and its server (including your password) is unencrypted.

Because of this, at Domainscape Internet we have disabled Telnet access to all our servers. You should now connect using SSH. Please see ‘How do I use an SSH client instead of telnet on my account?’ for information on using SSH.
